That it does~ I have a plethora of kids to play from the verse. I don't really have any particular craving for once scene or another in the verse. I just miss playing in it. Anything you really want to see happen? Anything you are curious for?

Well...I literally just googled harry potter roleplay ideas. And I found this little gem: Mobile phone cameras + security footage + internet = The statue of secrecy is DOOMED. There are several ways for it to blow wide open, when you think about it.

1)You can't just find the muggle who stumbled on magic accident and removing memory, because mobile phone cameras and youtube. People taking videos and uploading them onto the internet. It's probably going to be far too late by the time the 'leak' is noticed.

2)Camera surveillance in Britain. Think about it: A witch or wizard slips into a washroom to apparate somewhere else. Passerbys might not notice that they don't come out. Someone reviewing that footage might. Even if they mount a rescue operation, it's going to be tad suspicious when the restrooms are empty.

3)Google Earth - witches/wizards might be spotted by satellites or entire games of Quidditch, for that matter. Giants could probably be handwaved but how are you going to explain the centaur or the hippogriff that wandered into Google Earth's camera's view?

How's that for mixing tech and magic?

And then there's the whole thing about: So you've got a group of MI-5 type people running around and using oblivate with a lavish hand? Okay, fine, but how are you going to explain that the mind-rape victims don't remember the incident that's quite clearly on youtube, courtesy of a muggle secretly recording?

As for the goverments, magic is going to cause a political shit-storm, never mind the absolute field day the media will have. It's hard enough to get more than about half a dozen people to agree on anything. Even things that ultimately don't make a difference to anyone's lives, like say, choosing what restaurant to go to for lunch. Complicated situations like poverty....well, ask six different politicans and you'll get at least eight different answers. And nobody is trying to keep that a secret.
So yeah, good luck getting the goverments to AGREE that it needs to be hidden.

And then there's internal conflicts which....well, let's put it this way: I trust my OC not to be the one that starts the breach. I really don't trust him not to make it WORSE. The thing is that prior to the curtains tumbling down, all he can really say about Hogwarts to his maternal grandparents is 'Independent Boarding School, in Scotland.' Maternal grandmother has reasons to be a tad .... protective... over the boarding-school thing, if slightly dwelling-in-the-past-ones. Anthony would dearly like to tell her in more detail, mostly because he'd really rather not deal with having to remember every little detail of every single care-package. She sends A LOT.

So since his mindset is essentially "I'd like to break it but I don't wanna get in trouble", courtesy of his father impressing the importance on him since Anthony was old enough to put a two-word sentence together....yeah, I trust him not to breach it. What I don't trust him to do is to not essentially 'pick' at the hole once it's started and make things very much worse.

I'm not quite sure what you mean about who are we playing with. Next-gen Era because that's when every other person has a camera in their pocket.

He gets interrogated about care packages (edible ones because you have to have got something to know how it tastes/smells) because otherwise, they were clearly withheld from him. Yes, I know that's ridiculous and so does he but maternal grandmother is a little ...preoccupied (is the politiest word I can use) ...with that possibility. Since Anthony's rather naturally inclined to be quiet and secretive (although I doubt his upbringing really helped counter that tendency) I'm sure he perceives this tendency as 'smothering'. So if it's already blown open, I'm sure he'd tell her in hopes that she would finally SHUT UP about it.
